NYE Party Style: Tied up in Sequins

I am honestly begging any of you all out there to go out and buy this dress, not only because it is an endlessly stunning sea of silvery sequins, but for more selfish reasons as well. So i can wear it vicariously through you! The long sleeved dress has become an obsession of mine, and in this shade of striking beauty, I don't think it could cause me anymore desire than it already has!
Worn with a pair of patterned tights, there's no doubt you will be an eye catcher on this New year's eve! Some skyscraper- high black booties will tie the look together in an effortless way.
With an outfit only celebrity fashionista worthy, why not take a tip off from one of our most iconic fashionistas right now, Kate Moss, for some makeup inspiration. A nude lip and a sexy, eased smokey eye with the help of a Two Faced eye palette (which I swear by!) accompanied by a relaxed updo or messy, loose tresses, and you'll pull off a look that could be iconic in itself!  ♥

This look is all about the blazer! To keep this sparkly piece as the focus, everything else should remain fairly understated to keep it all from looking too overbearing, which is why I chose these two natural colored dresses to pair it with. Depending on the shape of the dress of course, you can go a bit more boyish with stiletto combat boots or more feminine with a pointy pump. Stacked rings will add an extra edge to any outfit and will play up the other pieces.
For makeup, keep the eyes light with just your lush lashes to show for and a natural shimmer on the lid. Contour and highlight your face to bring out those gorgeous features and add a deep red, almost burgundy, matte pout for ultra sultry sexiness!
All that's left is to propose a toast to just how fantastic you look this new year's eve! ♥

Holiday Party Style: Retro Spice

Tis' the holiday season and Christmas day is right around the corner as well. As we all know so well, with the holidays are holiday parties! Classes are out and books are stashed away for winter break, now to break out the glam and sparkly pumps. This is going to be my look number one of my series of holiday party style: retro spice! (No, not a play on Spice Girls by the way.) A glamorous red brocade is both so holiday appropriate and deliciously elegant. Paired with a pair of glitterfied pumps, all eyes will be drawn to you for all the right reasons!
Hair and makeup definitely pulls this look all together, and I would say almost makes the look! Do check out Iris of ilovegerardo youtube channel for some gorgeous pin-up hairstyles: this one especially recommended! I personally tried this look out myself and loved the outcome. Add a sexy, red pout and you're ready to dazzle all night long. And for this, having tested it out myself, L'Oreal's new Infallible LipColour will definitely do the job and will last you through all the fun. ♥

Yogurt Styling

These pictures are sort of late, which explains why my friend Nicole is wearing a cardigan while the heat wave in Southern California is going on. Either way, I will introduce you, this is my little friend, Nicole. Isn't she cute? We made a stop at Yogurtland not to long ago to stuff our faces with creamy, cold deliciousness and enjoy some girl talk  to catch up!

One of the main topics of our conversation was- as her "stylist" as she refers to me- what she would be wearing for high school homecoming dance! Now, at this point she already had a dress from a previous event she went to, so I just worked off of that, but gave it a completely different look from her original plain black kitten heel pumps and long pearl necklaces, something far less typical and a bit more edgy (Not to say typical isn't cute).

I'm also going to be doing her make up that day and decided on a smokey cat eye. I don't normally wear too much make up on the daily, but I was on a bit of a make up trip during the summer and the summer before and ended up learning a lot. So now I end up doing make up for dances, which is actually a lot of fun! On the on the other hand, I'm not that good with hair, but I was thinking a tousled up do. Any ideas to help a girl out? Let me know what you think! ♥

this is not a test- she & him
