Who says I can't be free

I've come to realize that I'm an absolute failure at planning. I have been wanting to do something special with my boyfriend for a while, and have had ever intention of figuring something out, but either I overload on brainstorming and never figure it out, or I simply just don't follow through. It's horrible. Today I was supposed to have everything planned out as I said I would with a picnic at the least. When I opened the fridge this morning to find it almost barren of food that was able to be prepared for such, it was a definite disappointment. There wasn't even bread! So, despite my failure of preparation, we decided on a trip to the park, without the company of food.

It really was a beautiful day, in more ways than one. The park used to be a frequent for us before we were split up due to college, as he moved up to Hayward, and I remained miles and miles away still in Southern California.

It was always so peaceful. We would just lie on that blanket together, without a care on our minds, as it was all clear, we had all we needed right there. It was quite nice to return to that today after such long leave. It's just one of those things that makes you appreciate the little things that tend to be forgotten amongst our busy lives. It also brings back just so many memories.

So here's my question for you, what has been the best date you have ever been on and what did you do?

awww!! such a sweet post! The pictures look awesome too. I wish that I could trade with you, you guys look warm!

The best date I have ever been on would be when my boyfriend and I went to is old apartment to watch movies and when we got out of the car in the parking lot, he pushed me up against the wall (gently) and gave me a huge kiss. Then he said "sorrym i just really wanted to do that" and it was awkward & sweet and romantic at once.

you and your boyfriend are adorable. it's always nice just being there with each other with no other distractions. :)

my best date would have to be...probably just staying in and watching movie after movie. and just talking.

cute picture!

one of my favorite dates was with one of my best guy friends from high school (and six years later, we're still really good friends and I'm best friends with his girlfriend :)) We went to a movie (he did dishes for his mom so he could pay) and talked me into seeing Maid in Manhattan which was TERRIBLE. That boy loves his chick flicks. We went for a walk down by the beach afterward and he was cold, so I gave him my jacket. Then he tripped and fell over a broken fence. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard on a date since. :)
