I am honestly begging any of you all out there to go out and buy this dress, not only because it is an endlessly stunning sea of silvery sequins, but for more selfish reasons as well. So i can wear it vicariously through you! The long sleeved dress has become an obsession of mine, and in this shade of striking beauty, I don't think it could cause me anymore desire than it already has!
Worn with a pair of patterned tights, there's no doubt you will be an eye catcher on this New year's eve! Some skyscraper- high black booties will tie the look together in an effortless way.
With an outfit only celebrity fashionista worthy, why not take a tip off from one of our most iconic fashionistas right now, Kate Moss, for some makeup inspiration. A nude lip and a sexy, eased smokey eye with the help of a Two Faced eye palette (which I swear by!) accompanied by a relaxed updo or messy, loose tresses, and you'll pull off a look that could be iconic in itself! ♥
This look is all about the blazer! To keep this sparkly piece as the focus, everything else should remain fairly understated to keep it all from looking too overbearing, which is why I chose these two natural colored dresses to pair it with. Depending on the shape of the dress of course, you can go a bit more boyish with stiletto combat boots or more feminine with a pointy pump. Stacked rings will add an extra edge to any outfit and will play up the other pieces.
For makeup, keep the eyes light with just your lush lashes to show for and a natural shimmer on the lid. Contour and highlight your face to bring out those gorgeous features and add a deep red, almost burgundy, matte pout for ultra sultry sexiness!
All that's left is to propose a toast to just how fantastic you look this new year's eve! ♥
If there ever were an accessory perfect for these soon-to-come autumn days, a crisp breeze swept about your skirt hems, rustling the newly fallen leaves, it is the thigh high. Though you may lack complete confidence in their versatility, on the contrary, you best supply your wardrobe with more than a couple pairs, as they could easily become your go to pick-me-up item to an array of outfits. An easy transitioning piece between seasons, simply worn with your same tailored shorts and Chelsea Crew caramel oxfords that got you through the summer months. Or for even a night on the town with the girls in a pair with your delicious Jeffrey Campbell wedge booties and F21's billowy lace flutter dress. Simplicity at it's best with Sock Dreams's N40s design that is to die for. And though that may do it for you, no need to shy away from cozy cable knits and gorgeous patterns, or even colors! They add the perfect amount of "something" to what could be just another outfit.
♥ Settle in easy. Not quite ready to jump into the look whole-heartedly? Pair simple charcoal gray scrunched thigh highs with a pair of black riding boots.
♥ A bit too risque or in need of a bit more warmth- layer with a pair of tights underneath to cover up a bit without the losing your ultra-chic look.
♥ Though these lovelies may exude sex appeal with the right outfit and charm, don't go overboard. Chunky heels and such are a definite go-to, but maybe stray away from patent platforms, stilettos, and ultra-fitted skirts.
♥ Have fun! Never be afraid to try something new, even if that something new may come in a more extravagant pattern than usual.
One look I can never seem to stop digging on is a band-t, or any graphic t-shirt for that matter, paired with almost anything. I love them most worn unexpectedly though, whether it be with a boho, vintage or girly vibe. A punk t and floral skirt is a combination made in some odd sort of heaven in my head.
I'll admit, t-shirts are one of my many guilty pleasures, so when I cam across cafepress.com, there were just so many it was hard to get through them all! From band-t's to general funny t-shirts, tv and media including Weeds apparel and even Gossip Girl liners, which got me plenty excited. (Might I mention I cannot wait until the new season starts up!) What catches my eye a lot of the time is when I see that proceeds go towards charity, which is why I have a great deal of the t-shirts that I do, mainly from Obey and Threads for Thought. A portion of proceeds from their BP t-shirts and products goes towards the actual Golf Restoration. Aside from the t-shirts though, I realized they have a sister site of sorts called imagekind, that carry some of the most gorgeous art prints and posters! I'm feeling an urge to add to my already cluttered walls.

Fall is coming and once this heat takes a turn elsewhere, a jacket will be in need. It's never too early to keep your eyes open for your new, desirable favorite, and I know I've had my eyes on one of these babies. The military inspiration is nothing new to the fashion scene, but this time it takes on a lot less Michael Jackson and a lot more utilitarian with its olive green tones. Tone down the frills of a girly frock, rock it with a cute LBD and patterned tights, or even keep it casual with jeans and a flowy white button down, it's just so versatile!
Stop by a nearby military surplus store or the Gap has a great Corduroy-trimmed utility jacket, or a slick, belted take from BB Dakota. I know for a fact Zara will have some on hand as well. And don't forget the killer booties to pair it with!
Don't get me wrong though, as much as I love the look, this won't be getting me any closer to camo print anything. I refuse to go there.

These lovely ladies and their looks really caught my eye this week. It may be my on going love for high waisted shorts, the right mixture of girly and more masculine pieces, or maybe even the simple detail of a braided brown belt that seems to be repeated throughout the majority of these. Quite honestly, what is there not to love about each of these outfits? Though it does remind me that I still desperately need a pair of high waisted denim cut-offs! ♥

There are 10 more videos to follow. I do recommend watching them on youtube. Now honestly, I'm not normally into name brands and the details of those high end, big name designers, but it is so interesting to see what goes on within the making of Chanel, whether it be the drawing, the pattern making, the embroidery, the accessorizing, or the inspiration. Karl Lagerfeld is a genius.
One of my ever existing loves, stripes. And how well they fit with the day. Happy 4th of July, dolls! I hope to have plenty to share with you this next week. Have fun and be safe. ♥

Glamor and all the riches and finery are the luxuries in life that we can't help but desire. I know very well, dolls, as I am just as human and as much as a contributor to this notion as the next. The issue, of course, is getting there. Sadly, we are not all born heiresses into a name alone that could carry us through life without lifting a finger, accept of course to slip on a magnificent, dazzling cocktail ring about it.
Hung up on the unfair ways of society and the obstacles that lie in front of us, we have a tendency to waste time pointing fingers. As harsh as it may sound, society and life realistically owes us nothing. To gain in one's life, one must work for it, earn it. To say the least, we at least owe ourselves that- to do as much as possible so we can later bask in the luxuries of all that we have worked for and earned on our own. There are no silver platters to be served on, just our own pure abilities to put forth.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
As fabulous as you all are, I know sincerely that each and every one of you has what it takes to make whatever it is you want happen. Despite that barrier of fear, or unknowing, or maybe even just lack of confidence, you dolls, can all make it possible. If you're not happy with every aspect of your life, make a change. Do something for yourself and persevere until you can truly feel the fulfillment in every click of your heel on the ground and every step you take.
It will all pay off, my dears, you will see.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unsuccessful genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan; 'press on', has solved and will solve the problems of the human race"
- Calvin Coolidge
So, dolls, what are you setting out to conquer? ♥

The days are growing longer my dears, and the summer days are stirring anxious excitement in us all. The sweet summer scents and denim cutoffs, the lightly dripping popsicles sticky to our touch under the warm blue skies. The perfect atmosphere for a get together with the gals, alongside your favorite china and heart warming sweets. Check, check, and check to all the above, but whatever is to be worn to such a sophisticated little event? Of course, the necessities of dainty gloves, your most lady-like hat to sit atop your pretty locks, and vintage pumps all around. Enjoy the mid-day chatter and a macaron (I have sadly, not had to the chance to taste these little delights yet!) or two wearing a stunning, airy dress. Perfection to say the least. ♥
The boy looks almost regal with his delicately aligned buttons parallel to his frame. The top button mistakenly slipped out, or maybe purposely left undone to entice the eye. Its a rigid, crisp form of sex appeal, stark and untouched, but seemingly asking to be. Though the image fits almost too perfectly to the frame of a man, the crisp collar and fit of an oxford isn't just for the boys any more. We have already ventured into the means of boyfriend cardigans, blazers, and jeans. No reason not to get our hands on the perfection of an oxford shirt and bring on the stunning factor of androgyny. If not particularly ecstatic about parting from your usual frilly pieces with an entire look with Forever 21's Roll Sleeve Shirt and TopShop's Linen Tapered Trousers, there plenty of other options for this versatile piece. Pair your American Apparel Unisex Italian Short Sleeve Button-Up with a cutesy, pleated Mossimo skirt to keep it simple, or even a pair of Urban Outfitter's high-waisted BDG Boyfriend Shorts for those cozy, relaxed days in the sun.
Numerous fashion addicts have been flocking to Chanel's recent temporary tattoo collection at the cost of $75.00. Though I cannot deny my liking for their designs, I'm left to wonder, what happened to the art and permanence of real tattoos? By no means I am I insisting on inking your life long dedication to Chanel on your skin, but something that's carefully well thought out and holds significance to you.
I have found that some look to tattoos as if they shed a negative light on a person, or aren't fit for a sophisticated doll, like much of your selves, but I beg to differ. A few amazing bloggers themselves take ownership to some ink of their own.
Erin from Calivintage epitomizes class and style in my eyes, and her very original tattoos only seem to add character to her image. She even goes into detail onto what each means to her, which you can see here.
Marissa from Marissa Explains it All is another who's girliness and wonderful style are not hindered by her tattoo. Hers happens to be of a polaroid on her arm, due to her love for Polaroid pictures. Creative indeed.
Julie from Orchid Gray is simply stunning with her creative and lovely looks, and in no way does her ink take away from that.
With even examples to thrive on, there is no reason to go against whatever you may want, despite society's ideals. Whether it be a tattoo, a piercing, or simply a certain outfit lacking an element of conformism, its your life, your choice.
Its almost humorous that I'm going on about tattoos in such a way, when I don't even have one my own. One of these days, when I get the money, I will! Here's a basic idea for what I want for myself:
I would put up the drawing I have done for it, but my scanner doesn't seem to want to work.
It's actually the quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet, "To thine own self be true," translated into Latin. I have contemplated over different variations of it though, including the entire verse, or having it in plain English. I have plenty of time to decide though. What do you all think?
Of course, let me know you opinion on tattoos, if you have any yourself, and if not, what are some ideas have if you do plan on getting one? I would love to hear! ♥
I'm very much an advocate for all things funky and mixed, but also have a great appreciation for a look of sophistication. And who other than Olivia Palermo epitomizes that to a t? I'm not going to lie, by no means do I follow The City, but Palermo has undoubtedly become a favored fashionista and it girl everywhere with her feminine, chic style, especially in my book. Even Vogue has recognized her! What I admire most about her is that in no way is she just "another pretty face."

How do you decide what to wear every day?
When I get dressed in the morning, I think about versatility - and I'd be lying if I said the weather wasn't a factor. I love layered looks using vests or jackets, but sometimes I feel my best in a great pair of jeans and a fabulous T-shirt.
Who, if anybody, has an influence on your style - or whose style do you admire?
I love the way Scott Schuman captures off-the-cuff street style. It's raw and natural and fits my aesthetic. Menswear always has an influence on me and I think that's down to Coco Chanel I think many women are influenced by her imprint on fashion.
What are you style essentials - what couldn't you live without?
I can't live without my YSL Tribute heels and my Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Everybody thinks it's the clothing that makes an outfit, but more often than not it's the accessories.

I wouldn't dare let you guys off without getting something out of this post! Pass off as Palermo's style twin with each of these pieces I found that add up to less than $200 total! A whole outfit that likely cost about the same as her Ray-Bans alone!

These dreamy shots were taken by Jamie Nelson, an incredible New York based fashion and beauty photographer. I just had to share these few with you all because I found them truly captivating. The lighting, the elements, how soft yet overwhelmingly stunning with all that is captured in just one shot.
